Cervi Park

Anno 2007/2008, Reggio Emilia, Italy

The redevelopment of the Alcide Cervi park is part of the redevelopment interventions envisaged by the strategic plan for the enhancement of the historic center of Reggio Emilia, as the backbone urban system of the historic city.

The project intended to connote the space with a more functional setting to allow the visitor a spontaneous approach, a practicality of use that encourages attendance and life of and in the park. The design objective was to create a "green square" capable of allowing ease of reading of the meeting areas, entrances and paths, facilitating the passage of the visitor who must move between welcoming, open, never hidden.

Within the framework of the urban system of the historic centre, an attempt was made to expand the offer so that the park could fulfill a plurality of functions.
